Luke 1:78 says, “...the sunrise from on high shall visit us.”
لوقا 1:78 میں لکھا ہے: "...بلندی سے طلوع ہونے والا آفتاب ہم پر نمودار ہوگا۔"
This verse is a direct reference to Christ.
یہ آیت سیدھا مسیح کی طرف اشارہ کرتی ہے۔
From the phrase “sunrise from on high,” we understand that the birth of Christ is the rising of that divine Sun.
"بلندی سے طلوع ہونے والا آفتاب" کے الفاظ سے ہم سمجھتے ہیں کہ مسیح کی پیدائش اسی الٰہی سورج کا طلوع ہونا ہے۔
Luke chapter 1 describes the final moments of the long darkness before that Sun rose.
لوقا باب 1 اس طویل تاریکی کے آخری لمحوں کو بیان کرتا ہے، جو سورج کے طلوع ہونے سے پہلے تھی۔
Before Christ came, it was a very long night for Israel and for the whole world waiting for the Savior.
مسیح کی آمد سے پہلے بنی اسرائیل اور پوری دنیا کے لیے یہ ایک بہت لمبی رات تھی جو نجات دہندہ کا انتظار کر رہی تھی۔
Throughout Israel’s history, the call that began with Abraham continued.
اسرائیل کی پوری تاریخ میں ابراہیم سے شروع ہونے والی پکار جاری رہی۔
What kept them looking toward God during the darkness was the hope that one day the Sun would rise.
انہیں تاریکی میں خدا کی طرف دیکھتے رہنے کی امید یہ تھی کہ ایک دن سورج ضرور طلوع ہوگا۔
The prophet Malachi had promised in the last chapter of the Old Testament that “the Sun of righteousness will rise with healing in His wings.”
نبی ملاکی نے عہدِ عتیق کے آخری باب میں وعدہ کیا تھا کہ "صداقت کا سورج اپنے بازُوؤں میں شفا لیے طلوع ہوگا۔"
Malachi was saying the same thing Luke speaks of — darkness is not permanent, though it becomes deepest right before the sunrise.
ملاکی وہی بات کر رہا تھا جو لوقا بیان کرتا ہے—تاریکی ہمیشہ نہیں رہتی، اگرچہ سورج کے طلوع ہونے سے پہلے وہ بہت گہری ہو جاتی ہے۔
After Malachi, God remained silent for 400 years.
ملاکی کے بعد خدا 400 سال تک خاموش رہا۔
No prophet came.
کوئی نبی نہیں آیا۔
No revelation from God was given.
خدا کی طرف سے کوئی وحی نازل نہیں ہوئی۔
It was a time of deep and heavy darkness.
یہ گہری اور بھاری تاریکی کا دور تھا۔
During this time Israel suffered under Greek rule.
اس دوران اسرائیل یونانی حکومت کے زیرِ عذاب رہا۔
The Greeks forced their pagan culture and religion into the Holy Land.
یونانیوں نے اپنی بُت پرستانہ تہذیب اور مذہب کو مقدس سرزمین پر مسلط کیا۔
After the Greeks, the Romans came and continued the same oppression.
یونانیوں کے بعد رومی آئے اور انہوں نے بھی یہی ظلم جاری رکھا۔
The nation was crushed, and even though the Jews cried out, God remained silent.
قوم پس گئی، اور اگرچہ یہودی پکارتے رہے، خدا خاموش رہا۔
Where was the Sun of righteousness?
صداقت کا سورج کہاں تھا؟
Nobody imagined that the prophecy would take 400 years to be fulfilled.
کسی نے سوچا بھی نہ تھا کہ یہ پیشگوئی پوری ہونے میں 400 سال لگیں گے۔
Malachi had said that the wicked would one day be ashes under the feet of the righteous.
ملاکی نے کہا تھا کہ ایک دن شریر راستبازوں کے قدموں تلے راکھ ہوں گے۔
When would righteousness finally triumph?
راستبازی کب غالب آئے گی؟
But Malachi also said something essential: before the Sun rises, a messenger will come.
لیکن ملاکی نے ایک اور اہم بات بھی کہی: سورج کے طلوع ہونے سے پہلے ایک پیغام رساں آئے گا۔
A forerunner.
ایک پیش رو۔
A prophet who would announce the coming of the Lord.
ایک نبی جو خداوند کی آمد کا اعلان کرے گا۔
The prophet Isaiah confirmed the same truth.
نبی یسعیاہ نے بھی یہی سچائی بیان کی۔
He said a voice would cry in the wilderness, “Prepare the way of the Lord.”
اس نے کہا کہ بیابان میں پکارنے والی آواز ہوگی: "خداوند کی راہ تیار کرو۔"
So before the Sun of righteousness rose, before Christ appeared, a prophet would come who would point to Him.
پس صداقت کے سورج کے طلوع ہونے سے پہلے، مسیح کے ظاہر ہونے سے پہلے، ایک نبی آئے گا جو اس کی نشاندہی کرے گا۔
When that forerunner appeared, the silence of heaven would break.
جب وہ پیش رو آتا، تو آسمان کی خاموشی ٹوٹ جاتی۔
Then the Light would shine, and Christ would come.
پھر روشنی چمکتی اور مسیح
آتے۔
آتے۔
The story of salvation would begin to unfold.
اور نجات کی کہانی شروع ہو جاتی۔
Luke, being a careful historian, explains all this with great detail and accuracy.
لوقا، جو ایک محتاط مورخ ہے، ان سب باتوں کو بڑی .
