  1. Who is the giver (Natan,!t'n"") of something for someone? I or God?


  2.     The first textual instance of using Natan verb is in Genesis 3:6; The woman got some fruits from the tree of knowledge, which is a forbidden fruit, and gave (Natan) it to her husband. Why the blessed verb Natan was used in the first case of breaking the first commandment given to Adam and Eve (Gen 2:16).

  1.      If the Lord gives someone what belongs to God is a blessing, but if a human being gives something for someone, from the thinking that it belongs to himself is a sin. For everything belongs to God. God created everything on earth. We human beings are receiver of God’s blessing. God is the only one give (Natan) always. But the first sin of human being was taking illegally what belongs to God without getting permit of God. The action of giving (Natan) also is committing sin, for she is not a giver but a sharer of something provided by the Lord.

  1.      This kind of faith is expressed in the name of Nathanael (God gave, laen>t;n>, Nu 1:8, 2:5, 7:18; Ne 12:21; Ezr 10:22); Nathanja (Yaweh is the giver, hy"n>t;n>)or Nathanjahoo (He is my giver, Why?n>t;n; Je 36:14, 40:8; 2Ch 17:8). The Lord is the owner of everything, so the Lord is the only giver. I am a care taker (decon or manager, steward, Lk 16:1-13) of them. I am not a giver and I must not pretend to give anyone anything that belongs to me.

Jesus said about the giving alms to those who are in need in Luke 6:38 "Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, they will pour into your lap. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return." The message point of it is very clear; To help those who are in need must be done from willing heart quickly, for the Lord is watching on you and will bless you overflowingly and quickly.
